Faith Carr started managing rental property in 1981 when she worked part-time at an apartment complex while still attending high school. After graduation, Faith worked with her father at the furniture store he managed. But within three years, she was back in the property management business.
In 1984, Faith took a position as Assistant Resident Manager at a small apartment complex in Herndon, which gave her the experience to go on to manage a 364 unit apartment complex. Faith was the Assistant Resident Manager for Fairway Apartments in Reston for over three years. She was responsible for the overall operation of this community including: accounts receivable, accounts payable, handling contractors, customer relations and leasing apartments.
In an effort to broaden her experience and advance her career, she left Fairway Apartments and took a position with Grady Management, one of the largest management firms in this area. Although her responsibilities at this community were much the same as at Fairway, she gained valuable experience in overall property management operations and problem solving.
She Then became property manager for EKS Corporation, where their clients gained the benefits of Faith's experience in property management and her commitment to getting the job done right the first time. She also obtained her Real Estate License while with EKS.
This year, Faith started her own company, Property Management Specialists, Inc.
On a personal note, Faith was born and raised in the Northern Virginia and currently resides in Sterling with her seven year old son Branden.
