CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

The Children's Ministry at Church of the Word welcomes families to join us in experiencing and sharing Jesus Christ. We offer Sunday and Wednesday programs in addition to summer programs such as Vacation Bible School, Worship Boot camp, Preschool Camp, and Art Camp. Children are welcome to join our programs at any time of the year and parents are welcome to visit Church of the Word to see what's happening.

SUNDAY SCHOOL - Sunday School at 9 a.m. is done in a children's church format. The 11 a.m. format will continue as last year with separate classes for different age groups. We will be using a new curriculum this year, so look for your children to bring home Scripture memory pages and children's devotional pages. Nursery care is provided for children age 3 and under during the Sunday worship services.

AWANA Club is held every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. AWANA welcomes children between the ages of four and eleven. There is no registration fee. AWANA encourages the memorization of Scripture while incorporating games, music, and crafts. Please email children.churchoftheword@verizon.net to register your child.

GIRL'S LITURGICAL DANCE is held every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Girls 8-14 are welcome to participate. No dance experience is necessary. The team performs several times per year during our Sunday worship services and special events. Commitment runs from September through May.
