WELCOME

Welcome to the Manassas Junior Woman's Club web page. We are a dynamic group of women who work together to better our community through our volunteer efforts. Through working with such motivated women you may have the chance to make lasting friendships while serving our community. If you are interested in what we do after browsing our page, we urge you to join us at our monthly meetings or send us e-mail to request further information.

HISTORY

The Junior Woman's Club of Manassas was organized and federated in 1931 by thirteen women under the auspices of the Woman's Club of Manassas. The aim of the Club was stated as "social advancement and cultural development". The Manassas Juniors has the distinction of being the oldest Junior club in the Northern District of Virginia, and celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2006.

Today, we strive for civic improvement and cultural development as well as providing charitable contributions to many service projects and community organizations. In fulfilling these goals, the Club satisfies the objectives of the State and General Federations of Woman's Clubs. Through participation in departments and various committees we promote these objectives. While maintaining its rich history of tradition, the Club has provided companionship, leadership, charity, and personal and cultural development to hundreds of women.
