We serve the Sudley and West Gate areas of Manassas VA in Northern Virginia, near our nation's capital, Washington, DC, USA

Welcome to the Park West Lions Club

The Park West Lions are a group of men and women who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes in the Manassas, Virginia area and the world community. As part of International Lions Clubs, we part of the world's largest service organization.  We conduct fund raisers and service projects to help those in need. The Lions' motto is "We Serve."

For more than seventy years the Lions have been recognized throughout the world for their service to the blind and visually impaired.  A majority of the world's eye banks are established and supported by Lions, as are hundreds of clinics, hospitals and eye research centers. One such center, the Virginia Lions Eye Institute, is located at the Fairfax INOVA Hospital.  Over the thirty-five years of existence of our Lions club, countless members of our local community have been helped with free quality eye care, eyeglasses, eye surgery, guide dogs, hearing examinations and hearing aids, that they would not otherwise be able to obtain.  We also support various youth activities such as soccer and baseball teams. We own and maintain a cabin at the Northern Virginia Youth Camp located near Paris, VA.  In 2001, we opened the Park West Lions Community Center located just off Sudley Road at 8620 Sunnygate Drive.  This center is used by the club for many of its functions, many other community organizations use the center and it is available for rent by residents of Prince William County and surrounding areas.  Of course we also collect used eyeglasses for cleaning and reuse.

We contribute to Lions and non Lions organizations in Prince William County, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the world community.  Here are some of the programs that we contribute to:

Support for our Many Activities

The members of the Park West Lions Club conduct the following fund raising activities which are supported by the local community's participation. The funds raised go to support the community activities outlined above. Our Club calendar contains the exact dates of all the annual fund raisers. Click here to go to our calendar.
  • By far, our major fund-raising activities is BINGO, held every Monday night at the Lions Club Community Center, 8620 Sunnygate Drive, Manassas VA. The early bird games start at  7:00 PM, so come join us for a fun night of BINGO, and maybe go home "the big winner."   The jackpot game pays out $1,000 and our “Lucky L” game has grown as high as $3,500.
  • Our Community Center, 8620 Sunnygate Drive, Manassas, is now available for rentals. This is Manassas' newest and finest venue.
  • In December we hold our annual "Breakfast with Santa" at our Community Center.
  • In the spring of the year, we hold our "Super Raffle". Here is a chance to win $10,000, and also enjoy a fun filled evening of food, drinks and dancing to the best live band in the county.
  • In June we hold our "Charity Golf Tournament." We offer such prizes as an automobile for a hole-in-one, on one of the par 3 holes. The many local business sponsors make this tournament's excellent prizes possible.
  • Also in June we provide the food service for the local Amateur Radio Club at their major event of the year, the Manassas Hamfest, held at the Prince William Fairgrounds.
  • The members of our club have party tents that we rent to groups for parties, weddings and other special functions.
For further information, click on any of the underlined words above to find out how you may participate. For details of when an event will occur, check our club calendar.

It is not all work, we have fun and fellowship too!

Throughout the year, we Lions also have a lot of fun and fellowship with our fellow members.
