For 2008 our fundraising goal is $10,000. We need to raise that to keep our monthly fees at the current reasonable rates. We do not make fundraising mandatory as many year round teams. We ask for your support and try to provide different and painless ways to raise money for our team.  Click here to see how far we've come.

SCRIPS:

Attached is an order form for gift cards, which are referred to as "SCRIPS". It is a fundraiser we do each season to help you with your daily & holiday shopping. Buy gift cards for groceries, gas, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, thank you gifts, teacher gifts, college students, Christmas, etc.

SCRIIPS are great because you are only buying gift cards from business where you normally shop or plan to give as gifts.

Some people do all their shopping with
SCRIPS. You never have to leave home & you save on gas, plus no hunting for parking, or getting wet, cold, tired, or hungry.

You pay what you normally would for each card. The company gives the team a percentage back as a fundraiser.

You can buy gift cards for all the hard to find people on your list as well as the easy to please. Pick out a card to their favorite restaurant, shop, or for the Dads at Home Depot, Best Buy, or even get them a gas card. WOW!

Please use the
attached form to see what businesses are available. Put your order and check to PWSC in the MILLER folder on deck, call her at 670-2157 or email her at lisamil@comcast.net. We must have your check payable to PWSC to place your order. We pay when we place the order. Orders will be placed about every 2 weeks or as needed. There is a shipping charge, so we need to have at least 20 cards ordered each time.

White House Ornament:

Our team will be selling 2007 White House Ornaments as a fundraiser. They are $17 each. Please see the attachment for ordering ornaments from Lisa Miller. Thanks for your support!

If any of you have a large order to place, please contact Lisa Miller right away with an estimate of how many you think you will need.

Last year we sold out by 1st week of December and some of you were disappointed.

In 2006, this fundraiser provided our team with over $1300. We can sell even more ornaments this year if you let Lisa Miller lisamil@comcast.net know of any large orders. Our order will be placed this week. We will have the ornaments on hand around Oct. 1

Please try and sell them at work, church, and other organizations you belong too. Although they will be available at Post-net and other retailers, those places charge $18 to $20.

Please ask family and friends to support our children and their effort.

Thank you.

Our first Spirit Night, Nov 1st, 2007 was a big Success Thanks to "Tropical Smoothie" and the families who attended.  The owners - Joseph and Nuatu - of "Tropical Smoothie" donated back $180 to our team from sales.  Thanks to them and all who attended.

Mr. Ross Schwalm, on behalf of Booz Allen Hamilton, is proud to make this Volunteer Service Grant to Prince William Swim Club in recognition of the firm's Spirit of Service month in April 2008. The term, "Spirit of Service" was first expressed by our founding partner James Allen, and it captures well Booz Allen's philosophy on corporate philanthropy, which is built around the community interests and generosity of our employees. Mr. Schwalm, a volunteer in multiple capacities with the Prince William Swim Club, spends approximately 60 hours a year in supporting the team during planning sessions, during swim meets as a USA Swimming Official and as an advisor to coaches, board members and youth swimmers. Booz Allen employee volunteer service commitments along with Volunteer Service Grants allow non-profit organizations such as Prince William Swim Club to provide a valuable opportunity for youth development through swimming and for adults to contribute time and talent back to the community.
