Rosemarie "Rose" Hayes
Senior Group Coach

Coach Hayes (Rose Marie)-Head Senior Coach - has been coaching for 42 years in Texas, North Carolina and Virginia. Coach Hayes is currently the Seniors program for the Amberjax. She coached with QDD on US Marine Corps Base, Quantico from 1977-79 and has been coaching with Prince William Swim Club 1979 to present. Coach Hayes has achieved ASCA Level 4 certification and is currently working on Level 5. She has coached swimmers who swam at N.C. State, UNC Wilmington, East Carolina University, Mary Baldwin, Slippery Rock, University of Virginia, William and Mary, Temple, Florida State, Texas University, Brigham Young University, Wabash University, Bucknell University and currently Savannah College of Arts and Design. Coach Hayes has attended the Coaches College at the Olympic Training Center with 27 other Senior coaches, which was certified through the University of Colorado.

Jamie Gaskill
Head Coach

Coach Jamie - Head Coach - has been coaching with Prince William Swim Club for 6 years. Coach Jamie and her family joined Prince William Swim Club, (Amberjax), in 1997 and still enjoy the family atmosphere and small team philosophy it holds today. Coach Jamie primarily coaches the age group swimmers and is awaiting certification for the ASCA Level 3. She is a certified personal trainer with American Fitness Professionals Association. She holds a bachelor and a master's degree in education from West Chester University, PA. and has teaching experience with children of all ages. Missy Hayden
Age Group Coach

Missy Hayden is the Head Age Group Swim Coach for PWSC. She works with the Bronze, ADV Bronze, Gold, and Senior Groups. Her experience includes being a competitive swimmer for the Prince William Swim Club since the age of three. She was also the Assistant Coach for Vets Park swim team 1999-2000 and then Head Coach of the team from 2000-2003. She has been coaching with the Prince William Swim Club since 1998 for a total of 9 seasons. She is Level 2 ASCA Certified, and currently working on her level 3. Some of her other credentials include, Coaches Safety Instructor, Water Safety Instructor, First Aid and CPR certified, as well as 5 years of Lifeguard experience. When Missy is not coaching, she is spending as much time as possible with her husband Joe, and her 3 children: Alicia (8), Corina (3), and JJ (1) as well as working her other full time job with the swim suit company TYR Sport.

Dorothy "Dot" Collins
Age Group Coach

Coach Dot has been with Prince William Swim Club since 2004 and has been coaching swimming in northern Virginia since 1998. She recently completed her ASCA Level 2 testing and is awaiting certification. Coach Dot works primarily with the pre-senior program for the Amberjax. She is also a coach for Hylton High School Swim Team and a summer league coach at Broyhill Crest Recreation Club.

Coach Lorena swam competitively for eight years in her native country, Peru. She moved to the US in 1990 to attend American University in Washington DC from where she graduated with a BA in Communications. She got her Water Safety Instructor Certification in 2001 and she has been teaching swimming since then at the Sport and Health Club. She joined our coaching staff on January of this year (2007) and she mainly coaches Age Group swimmers (Kickers, Racers and Bronze). She has two kids who swim for the team; Rafael who is ten years old and started swimming with the Amberjax when he was five and Isabella who is three years old and is in the Minnows program. |

Katie Gregson Kickers & Minnows Coach

Coach
Katie Gregson swam competitively in her home state of Rhode Island for
10 years. She went to
Penn State University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in
Elementary Education. While
at Penn State, Coach Katie life-guarded and taught swim lessons.
She was also the waterfront director at a local YMCA summer
camp during her summers. Coach
Katie moved to Virginia in 2005 to begin her teaching career.
Currently Coach Katie is a 5th grade teacher at
Ashland Elementary when not working with the minnows and kickers
groups. |

Coach Justina

This is Coach Justina’s first year coaching for Prince William Swim Club. Over the past five years she has coached for the Mason Makos Swim Club in Manassas, served as the head coach for Piedmont swim team in Haymarket, and also was the head coach for Valleybrook County Club in Pa. She has spent 13 years competitively swimming for Chartiers Valley Swim Club, and Clarion University. Currently Justina resides in Reston VA, and still loves to participate in triathlons and of course her favorite sport SWIMMING! |
