The Anne Ripol Award
The Anne Ripol Award is Sudley Swim Team’s highest honor. It is awarded every year to the most valuable swimmers on the Sudley Swim Team. But the award is not necessarily scores the most points for the team or who gets the best times. It is given to the person who most exemplifies the spirit of Anne Ripol, a Sudley swimmer who died tragically on her way to swim practice. Anne was a gifted swimmer but more importantly she was a terrific teammate who loved to swim and who exemplified the spirit of the team. “sparkling eyes, bright smile, hard working, cheerful and warm – eager to help. Eager to learn – A friend to many. A teammate to all.”
