The VFW Post 1503 Men’s Auxiliary was established in December 2006, with 38 members. As of October 27, 2007, we have 55 members.  All officers and members play an important role in the function of the Auxiliary. The purpose of the Auxiliary is to support the VFW and assist them with their activities and programs.  A few of the programs we have been involved with include; bingo, family fun day, 4th of July parade and the Buddy Poppy drive.  Speaking of the latter, the Auxiliary has adopted the Safeway location at Cheshire Station in Dale City to participate in this most important program.  Our monthly meetings are held on the first Monday of the month beginning at 7:00 P.M. All meetings are held at the post home.  Our annual membership dues are $30.00 and you will find below the eligibility requirements to join.  Please take a moment to read these and if you are eligible submit an application.  I believe at this time there are only three active Men’s Auxiliary’s in the entire state of Virginia, the largest being in Berryville Virginia, with around 125 members.  We have also been researching a number of fundraisers to raise money to help support the post programs.

I am excited about being able to write articles for this website and in future articles, I will be incorporating pictures of our group, assisting with the various programs we are involved with.

Here are the eligibility requirements for the Men’s Auxiliary.
