Overview: PWSL dual meets are comprised of 67 events- 19 relays and 48 individual events. Swim Teams compete to win Team Points in each of these 67 events. The Swim Team with the most individual or relay points in each event wins First Place in that event and scores 2 Team Points. The other swim team can win 1 Team Point for Second Place if they score at least 15 points in an individual event or have a qualifying time in a relay event.

Individual Event Scoring: Swimmers earn individual points by placing in Free, IM, Back, Breast, and Fly events. If their Swim Team earns the most points in any one of these individual events, their Swim Team scores 2 Team Points for First Pace. If swimmers score at least 15 out of a possible 114 points in an individual event, their Swim Team scores 1 Team Point for Second Place. Any Swim Team that does not score at least 15 points in an individual event does not earn any Team Points. If each team scores the same number of individual points, the event is tied and each team is awarded 15 Team Points. Swimmers who score points for 1st through 12th place also earn individual ribbons, The individual points associated with each individual event are as shown:

Relay Team Event Scoring. Relay teams help their Swim Team earn Team Points by winning their events. The first place relay team in any relay event earns 2 Team Points for First Place. A Swim Team that does not enter a relay event or does not have a relay team finish with a qualifying time does not earn any Team Points. In the event of an exact tie for First Place, each team will score 1.5 Team Points. Swimmers who score relay team points for lst and 2nd place also earn individual ribbons. The same Swim Team can win ribbons for both 1st and 2nd place but can only score a maximum of 2 Team Points for each relay event.
